Hi, my name is Fabiola Mondaca and today I will tell you a bit about me. I was born a sunny December day 19 years ago. I have a brother called Rodrigo, my mother is Carmen and my dad is Hugo. I have two beautiful dogs, Terry and Copito, with whom I spend my free time since four years ago. I consider myself a cheerful and funny girl and I like hang out with my friends, I like dance, I like the Yoga, I like healthy foods, I like the zodiac (I’m Sagittarius), I like a Chemistry, even actually I’m a Chemistry student in the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences (Universidad de Chile). And finally, my goal is to approve the subject without falling down in depression. Good bye guys!

Actually, I study Chemistry, a career that lasts 11 semesters (at least), the mesh is divided into 3 parts where the first 2 years correspond to the basic cycle, where we study together with all the careers of this faculty the main and basic subjects of chemistry , for example General Chemistry, Analytical, Organic, and we also learn to develop in laboratories individually and as a team. Then, in the fifth semester the undergraduate cycle begins, with more specialized subjects in the career and not so general, we even have electives to choose ourselves. Science advances day by day in all areas and at all scales, and I think that choosing an application of nanoscience is quite complicated. If I am sincere, I have informed myself a little about it since listening to microparticles makes me immediately think of a more biologist area and those who know me know that my interest in biology is null. Therefore, and considering that my career does not have a biologist approach, before writing this publication I decided to look for some information and I found really wonderful things that have a great significance in one of the areas that Chemistry focuses on. In the energy field, nanoscience can be used in the production of renewable energies. Post graduate studies

The truth is that it costs me a lot to think about doing a postgraduate course, since according to my perspective the magister is not valued as it should be valued, now everyone expects a PhD, and personally i think the degree is long enough to be 3 or 4 more years studying and researching something. It calls me much more attention to do a diploma to specialize even more in an area that I like in a short period, and not for wanting something easy and fast, but because chemistry can be expressed in infinite ways and I would love to get to experience all the applications that catch my attention. However, when I will have my degree, there may be a new postgraduate degree other than a diploma, master's or doctorate, one that really catches my attention, and therefore I do not close myself to the possibility of actually studying one in the future.
